1. Grab a test strip from your 4-in-1 or 6-in-1 pack.
2. Dip the strip into pool water at elbow depth. Swirl gently for 2 seconds.
3. Remove and hold flat for 15 seconds. Don't shake off excess water.
4. Compare colours on the strip to the chart on the bottle.
5. Check the dosing guide to see if you need to add anything.

That's it! Test 2–3 times per week, or daily after heavy rain or pool parties.

You don't need to be a chemist. Just keep these 4 numbers in range:

• Free Chlorine: 1.0–3.0 ppm (kills bacteria and algae)
• pH: 7.2–7.6 (makes chlorine effective and water comfortable)
• Total Alkalinity: 80–120 ppm (prevents pH from bouncing around)
• Cyanuric Acid: 30–50 ppm (protects chlorine from sunlight)
